Narcan saves lives

Love In The Trenches™ is certified by the state of Maryland to distribute doses of Narcan® and is authorized by the Maryland Department of Health to distribute and conduct educational and training programs under the Overdose Response Program.

Narcan® (naloxone) nasal spray is used for emergency treatment of opioid overdose.  Since most accidental overdoses occur in a home setting, it was developed for first responders, as well as family, friends, and caregivers — with no medical training required.

Because substance use disorder is a chronic, often relapsing disease, keeping Narcan in homes where there is a substance use disorder can be an effective safety precaution. Harm reduction is not a substitute for a recovery program. Read more about Love in The Trenches and Harm Reduction.
